INDO-MIM and HP have successfully operationalized two Metal Jet S100 printers, marking India’s debut in 3D printed metal part production in large batches. This partnership aims to optimize 3D printing in industries like automotive, aerospace, and healthcare by localizing production and reducing reliance on imports.

The Bengaluru facility of INDO-MIM, recognized for its innovative metal parts manufacturing, is hosting the printers. This move aligns with India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, promoting self-sufficiency and industrial growth.

HP’s Metal Jet S100 printers are being used to facilitate local production and material exploration, with one printer stationed in Texas, USA, highlighting the collaboration’s global dimension.

‘We are proud to partner with INDO-MIM to forge new frontiers in metal manufacturing,” said Savi Baveja, President of Personalisation & 3D-Printing at HP Inc.

“By localizing production and exploring global export opportunities, we are set to transform the landscape of metal parts production in India and beyond.’

Launched in fall 2023, HP Metal Jet S100 quickly became pivotal in modern manufacturing, streamlining production and supply chains globally.

Through their commitment to technology and sustainability, HP and INDO-MIM aim to unlock the full potential of metal additive manufacturing, reshaping industrial landscapes worldwide.
